inspiration from a small farm with a big heart

Waiting Not So Patiently.

Watermelon_problem_007This time of year is so hard for me.  The watermelon, squash, zucchini, tomatoes and grapes are just beyond my grasp.  And with the cold temperatures this spring and dry temperatures so far this summer we are waiting even longer.  This is a picture of one of our personal watermelons we will be selling at Farmers Market this summer.  I do love them at this stage.  Beautiful flower still in tact, the fruit beginning to bulge and the tiny hairs protecting the fragile skin.  God has perfect timing and the dry weather will produce sweeter fruit.
